Happiness was accepted into the Museum of Living Artists’ Southern California/ Baja Norte Regional Exhibition!

Inspiration: The Gypsy Bride series began in 2013 as a cubist exploration into story-telling through visual art. The series wraps iconic images of life, love and the concept of happiness around the hypothesis- What is the life-cost of being in a committed relationship? Happiness (Oil on Canvas) depicts a solitude figure leaning on a simple house connected to two picket-fences, one white and upright and the other dark and up-side-down; asking the viewer to question the notion of finite perfection. Additional symbols in the painting include a lawn full of toads, a wilted floral bouquet, rolling hills and a giant Roulette wheel as the sun. Pared with the series, Happiness reflects an internal struggle of searching for answers in external objects.
